On February 9 at approximately 3:45pm, Yonkers City Council Member Tasha Diaz appeared for a live interview on the Yonkers Voice.

During this interview, Diaz says that she has filed numerous complaints to the Yonkers Police Department during her tenure on the Council.
This FOIL request seeks all official police reports either from Diaz and/or where she is named in the report beginning from the start of her first term: 1 January 2020 to the date of the interview: 9 February 2024.

A letter dated February 15, 2024 signed by YPD Records Access Officer Lt. Sean Looney rejects my FOIL request submitted on February 12, 2024 regarding police reports related to Tasha Diaz.
The rejection states that, "this case is still OPEN." However, my request did not seek any open cases. It seeks any certified police reports from January 1, 2020 through February 9, 2024. Therefore, I believe this rejection is in error unless there are absolutely no police reports at all during that period.
Appeal denied as "disclosure would interfere with law enforcement investigation.
